Jutai's quality requirements
Jutai wood is characterized according to various NEN standards that determine the wood's durability, use classes, and quality. According to NEN-EN 350, Jutai falls into durability class 1–2, meaning the wood is highly resistant to fungi and insects and is suitable for long-term use, even when exposed to moisture. The NEN-EN 335 standard applies to the degree of exposure to moisture and biological attack, while NEN-EN 14080 specifies requirements for strength and durability for glued and laminated wood. For aesthetic quality, such as the visual assessment of color, grain, and knots, NEN 5466:2010 can be used. These standards guarantee that Jutai wood is durable, stable, and of high quality for various applications, from decking and facades to furniture and interior finishing.
