Other applications in which Azobé can be used are noise barriers, roadside planks, fence posts, park benches, wedges, wedge blocks, bilge blocks, industrial floors, sleepers, dragline mats, weighbridge decks, belly rails and support structures for heavy machines. Azobe has a certain resistance to attack by acids and other chemicals and is therefore suitable for support structures for installations in chemical plants. In the Paris metro, the wood serves as rails for the rubber-tyred trains.
