Padouk wood is an excellent and very durable type of wood that is distinguished by its stability and durability. However, what is most striking about this hardwood species is its original red color. It is therefore perfectly suitable for unique applications such as deck terraces, beautiful fencing and special facades. The heartwood of Padouk wood has a bright orangey red color, also called coral red. When exposed to light, this hue quickly changes to pale reddish-brown and eventually to black-brown. Timely use of an acid-setting clear coat will preserve the beautiful color for longer. Although Padouk wood ages over time, it retains its beautiful and even color shades. This creates a breathtaking image after several months of aging.

Padouk wood is very easy to work with, both with hand tools and woodworking machines. If the thread is irregular, planing the radial surface may cause some difficulties. The wood can be turned very well and processing it into veneer presents no problems, especially with steamed wood. Please note that Padouk contains substances that can cause inflammation in case of injuries caused by splinters.
