The Basel profile is ideal for use in combination with the Bern profile. Both profiles have the same structure, but the “mountains” of the Basel profile are wider. Thanks to these wider mountains and the invisible installation, a soothing image is created on the facade. The tongue-and-groove system ensures a seamless installation, allowing the mountains of the profile to be fully appreciated. The Bern profile can be profiled in various types of wood for facade cladding, including Accoya, Thermo Radiata Pine and Thermo Fraké. The standard thickness of the Basel profile is 21 mm, and the working widths vary between 126 and 168 mm. In the narrower variant (126 mm), the profile has one rebate, resulting in two “mountains”. The Basel profile can be installed both vertically and horizontally, depending on wishes and requirements.
The Basel profile has various treatment options that significantly extend the lifespan of the cladding, requiring less maintenance. For example, Accoya® cladding lasts twice as long thanks to its high dimensional stability and a film-forming coating system. The profile is easy to finish and requires minimal preparation or sanding.
