Det er blevet bevist, at kerneveddet kan klassificeres som holdbarhedsklasse 1 og overgangsveddet som klasse 2. Overgangsveddet mellem kerneveddet og splintveddet er holdbarhedsklasse II. Dette er baseret p\u00e5 forskning udf\u00f8rt af SHR Houtresearch. Forskningen blev udf\u00f8rt i overensstemmelse med de europ\u00e6iske testmetoder defineret i ENV 807, metode 2. Azobe er meget modstandsdygtig over for p\u00e6leormangreb i brak- og saltvand, samt over for syrer og andre kemikalier. En styrkeklasse er angivet med bogstavet C for n\u00e5letr\u00e6 og D for h\u00e5rdttr\u00e6, efterfulgt af et tal. Dette tal svarer til den repr\u00e6sentative v\u00e6rdi for b\u00f8jningsstyrken parallelt med \u00e5retegningerne (materialeegenskab). Disse v\u00e6rdier danner udgangspunktet for ingeni\u00f8ren til at bestemme materialets designv\u00e6rdi. For klasse A\/B er Azobe klassificeret som klasse D70. Klasse A stiller de h\u00f8jeste krav til styrke og\/eller udseende, s\u00e5som \u00e5rem\u00f8nstre, knaster, revner og deformationer.<\/p>\n<p>Den hollandske standard NEN 5493 (tidligere NPR 5493), Kvalitetskrav til h\u00e5rdttr\u00e6 i anl\u00e6gsarbejder og andre byggeanvendelser, definerer otte anvendelseskategorier:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gangstier<\/li>\n<li>Brod\u00e6k og moleplanker;<\/li>\n<li>Konstruktionstr\u00e6<\/li>\n<li>Spunsv\u00e6gge og bekl\u00e6dningsgenstande<\/li>\n<li>Horisontale r\u00e6kv\u00e6rk<\/li>\n<li>St\u00e6nger med pigge<\/li>\n<li>Savede st\u00e6nger<\/li>\n<li>Runde st\u00e6nger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For hver kategori er de tilladte ufuldkommenheder og deres alvorlighed specificeret. Ufuldkommenheder s\u00e5som kerne, knaster, mekaniske skader, revner, splintved og deformation m\u00e5les over hele l\u00e6ngden. Der g\u00e6lder forskellige brandkrav for produkter med og uden CE-m\u00e6rkning. Produkter med CE-m\u00e6rkning skal opfylde en Eurofire-klasse i henhold til NEN-EN 13501-1. Produkter uden CE-m\u00e6rkning skal enten opfylde en hollandsk brandklasse i henhold til NEN 1775 eller en Eurofire-klasse.<\/p>\n<p>Der er syv Eurofire-klasser for b\u00e5de gulv- og ikke-gulvoverflader: A1, A2, B, C, D, E og F. For gulve har hver klasse et indeks &quot;fl&quot; (=gulv). A1 er den h\u00f8jeste klasse; produkter, der falder ind under denne kategori, bidrager ikke p\u00e5 nogen m\u00e5de til brand. Hvis et produkt ikke er blevet testet eller ikke opfylder klasse E, klassificeres det som F. For at sikre at flugtveje forbliver brugbare, m\u00e5 brand ikke udvikle sig hurtigt. Derfor skal materialerne opfylde de strengere krav til deres bidrag til brandspredning (Eurofire klasse C-standard).<sub>fl.<\/sub>).<\/p>\n<p>Brandklassificeringen af en tr\u00e6gulvoverflade afh\u00e6nger af forskellige aspekter s\u00e5som volumenmasse, tykkelse og eventuel finish. For tr\u00e6sorter med en specifik v\u00e6gt over 790 kg\/m\u00b3, inklusive azobe, er det meget sandsynligt, at de opfylder NL&#039;s brandklassificering C.<sub>fl.<\/sub>.
